HORN OF AFRICA INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CENTRE

Horn of Africa International Finance Centre (HAIFC) is planned to operate within a new city being built on the Hafun Peninsula.  The city will include major tourist facilities, banking, marinas and own transport and other necessary infrastructure.  The total city shall be  a Free Zone including selected areas of the mainland.  The total area shall be securely fenced and patrolled by the HAFZA internal security personnel. The State of Puntland are responsible for securing all external perimeters of the free zone areas but excluded from occupying or any authority within the free zone areas.

HAIFC shall be established to operate all similar to the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC). http://www.difc.ae/

The Horn of Africa International Financial Centre is planned as an onshore capital market and designated as a financial free zone to create a unique financial services cluster economy for wealth creation initiatives. This financial completeness will enhance business throughout Africa and the region.

  It is proposed for HAIFC to create a regional capital market for northern and central Africa, offering investors and issuers of capital world-class regulations and standards. Its hallmarks shall be integrity, transparency and efficiency to provide stability and precision into the markets.

The HAIFC shall be developed for all major international banks, insurance companies, trade brokers, financial advisors and a host of other related financial business oriented corporations.

As a new global jurisdiction for financial institutions, HAIFC shall offer its participants a highly attractive investment environment, including:       

• 100 percent foreign ownership
• zero rate tax rate
• freedom to repatriate capital and profits without restrictions.
